Guy spent 16 years with the Department of National Defence working in communications, technology and training. He pioneered the military's new media, social media, and mobile journalism training programs and trained over 2,000 communications professionals through in-class, blended, and online learning programs. In 2018, he collaborated on the inception of IncludeMe, a gamified app for workplace mental health training. A Queen's University study showed evidence that 78 percent of learners experienced a positive shift in attitudes — a significant success.

Karie Dufour has more than 15 years of professional writing, communications and training experience and leads content development and instructional design services at Addiev. Karie spent 8 years developing certified communication courses and training public affairs students from Canada and abroad.
Karie started as a community news journalist, progressed into corporate communications and training, and eventually into managing the Canadian Army's web and social media enterprise. She has produced a massive amount of published copy ranging from tweets for the military to articles on mental health education, to e-learning modules on cannabis.
Her passion, creativity, plain language approach, efficiency, attention to detail, and ability to bring just the right tone have made Karie a critical resource for organizations looking to produce training material that resonates with learners.
Karie holds a Bachelor of Journalism with specializations in online publishing and public relations. She is also certified in Advanced Instructional Techniques and Course Analysis, Design and Evaluation, and TEFL, Level 3. Karie employs a variety of authorware and multimedia development tools and has experience across a range of learning management systems.
Jacqui Haines is an accomplished management professional with 25+ years of experience in client service, customer relations, corporate strategy, leadership, team building, and business administration. She is highly skilled in shaping the foundations and structure of successful corporate governance, standards and project management in both start-up and established business environments.
A pioneer in the Canadian legal cannabis industry, Jacqui established Canopy Growth’s award-winning Care Centre and internationally accredited training centre. Jacqui was also instrumental in developing the framework and structure of the SuperPages Canada national contact centre and shaping the standards and governance structure for several Canadian and International companies.
Jacqui’s ability to build and connect business systems and processes that deliver professional, creative, scalable and effective outcomes and her collaborative leadership style is a great fit for organizations looking to establish or upgrade their standards and project workflow.
Jacqui holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and has achieved certifications in change management, negotiation, strategic planning and project management. She is also a Certified Permaculture Designer.
Pier-Adam Turcotte brings 12 years of audio-visual experience to Addiev following his retirement from the Canadian Armed Forces. He is an Imagery Specialist and Senior Multimedia Instructor seasoned at designing and delivering great learning experiences.
Pier-Adam supports Addiev on numerous instructional development projects. Our projects demand high-production values and his superb imagery work, post-production capabilities, and fast turn around times keep people, schedules, and budgets happy.
Moreover, Pier-Adam is a communicator and applies learning design to the multimedia objects we develop for training programs. He is equipped for on-location, audio-visual production work and can manage the entire process from story-boarding to mastering.
Pier-Adam is certified in Advanced Photographic Technology from the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering. He is also certified in Advanced Instructional Techniques and Course Analysis, Design and Evaluation.
Thich’ala Ace Harry is working with Addiev as our Instructional Methodologies Researcher.
Ace is actively involved with cultural and political movements for Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island and the globe.
She is also a key member of the Advanced Business Match Network, which works to level the playing field for Indigenous businesses through active understandings of shared values and opportunities.
Ace is an astute observer and connector able to deconstruct complex material and situations and develop meaningful insights and relationships.
Ace is a graduate of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and an aspiring academic with a passion for history, psychology, and politics.
She is also a classically-trained pianist in the final level of the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program.
