No matter what stage your course is in, Addiev can jump in and align activities to get the job done. Our flexible, 6-phase ADDIEV process gives clients a high-degree of project clarity and confidence , from the pre-course, training board session to post-course, training evaluation. Analysis

Identifies the training needed to meet a desired level of competency or performance
  • articulate and justify the training need — aligned to corporate objectives
  • express the desired learning outcome
  • determine the expected scope and scale of training, including expected delivery
  • define the learning audience and the type of learners they are
  • review the learner's operational context to determine what is relevant, appropriate and possible with respect to time, training modalities, etc.
  • conduct a knowledge-skills-attitudinal (KSA) gap analysis
  • draft a curriculum of learning objectives that achieve the desired learning outcome
  • conduct difficulty-importance-frequency (DIF) analysis
  • identify sources of subject matter expertise and client participation
  • produce the draft Qualification Standard and the Course Design Blueprint

Design

The plan for the efficient, effective and resource-friendly development and delivery of the training program
  • conduct a scalar exercise to convert the proposed curriculum into well-structured performance and enabling objectives (subjects and lessons)
  • optimize instructional and assessment methodologies for each subject
  • optimize the training modality (online, in-class, blended, or other)
  • sequence lesson delivery and timings
  • get client's approval on the Qualification Standard and Course Design Blueprint (project definition and scope)

Development

Uses the Qualification Standard and Course Design Document to produce the course
  • complete the specification for instructional and assessment development including multimedia and interactive objects, simulators, or real equipment
  • schedule development in project management software, check the load and commit resources
  • apply specifications and learning design to craft lessons and activities that enable learners to form abilities
  • create practices and assessments that measure competencies
  • perform quality control checks and report on milestones throughout the process
  • deliver iterations of the prototype

Implementation

Delivers the training solution designed to achieve the desired learning outcomes
  • conduct final quality assurance review
  • release version 1.0 prototype for alpha testing, apply feedback, re-QA
  • produce the train-the-trainer module (if required)
  • release version 2.0 prototype for beta testing, apply feedback, re-QA
  • finalize learner remediation, recourse and removal policies and guidance
  • publish curriculum, schedule, registration and administration
  • notify stakeholders of course availability
  • deliver training

Evaluation

Assesses whether or not the learning event has satisfied the training needs
  • employ a learning and development evaluation plan
  • monitor learning and instruction
  • issue a standardized survey to learners and instructors
  • collect, compile and report on feedback
  • deliver / discuss the course report or compilation report (for serial courses)

Validation

Assesses the Training Centre’s ability to meet training needs and achieve positive learning outcomes
  • distribute standardized employer and employee surveys within 3 months of training delivery
